My friend Jason has a little sister, 12 years old; Alicia. She recently hit puberty and her face broke out. She was often teased by her “friends” because of it. Everyone told her something about her acne but no one mentioned how beautiful this girl actually is. Except for Jason. But her response “You’re my brother, you have to say that.” So, last night she went to a party. He friends were all there and so was the guy she likes. Mind you, the girls she was friends with are the “popular girls” of her school and since she’s still young; she is still very impressionable. So all the girls tell her to go talk the guy she likes. Alicia goes up to him and started talking to him. Time passed and they were really clicking. Then all of her “friends” went up to them and one of the girls poured juice all over Alicia and ripped her dress. IN FRONT OF EVERYONE. Everybody in that party was laughing at her, except for the guy she likes. THEN all her friends were calling her “nasty, ugly, disgusting” saying that nobody would want her and her face is the nastiest thing they have layed eyes one. One girl then said “Your face would look better with burn scars than how you look now!” The guy Alicia likes offered to take her home immediately after. She went home and started crying. According to Jason, she cried herself to sleep. Jason went in her room to check up on her this morning but she wasn’t in her bed. He thought nothing off it at first, but after time passed, he smelt something burning. He ran upstairs to their bathroom and saw his little sisters face on fire. She poured lighter fluid on her face and lit herself. Jason pout it out. Luckily, her face wasn’t burned, just the right side. But while taking her to the hospital she told her mom “Am I pretty yet mom? Will the boys want me now?” How sad is that? All she wanted was for someone, other than her brother to tell her she was beautiful. She did what people told her to do. She would’ve never done that if those girls weren’t so evil and put ideas in her head.
Oh my god
This is absolutely horrifying. It shows just how cruel people can be to each other, and for absolutely no reason. Things like this are why I stress to show everyone just how beautiful they are, because it’s true. It’s devastating to know that this girl couldn’t take in her brothers words. I wish the best for her, and hope she comes to realize how truly beautiful she really is.
What the fuck has society become?
